I practice at IPNB Psychotherapy of Austin and offer a free 30-minute in person consultation. I think in person works better than on the phone because you can get a sense of who I am and how I work so that you can make the best choice for you. If for any reason we aren't the best fit for working together, I am happy to provide referrals. I look forward to talking with you.
Welcome! My name is Lisa
I specialize in helping people find and tell their stories in a way that transforms their lives. Often the stories that we tell ourselves influence our lives, feelings, and actions outside of our conscious awareness. Making sense of your story, feeling deeply seen and heard in your truth can transform the pain and fear into hope and growth.
When it comes to finding your story and transforming your life, I know of what I speak. Counseling is a mid-life career change for me. After years of working in theatre and music while holding down day jobs to pay the bills I felt I had another purpose, I just wasn’t sure what that purpose was. There was a lot of soul-searching and what felt like missteps and detours along the way to coming to the place of knowing that my purpose is to listen to people so they feel heard. If you are struggling with what your purpose is; or having to make a living while doing what you love on the side; or how to figure out what is next; and how to make it work once you have decided; believe me, I get it! I have a passion for this work and am deeply grateful every day for the privilege to be in this field.
